Who or what is Malaberg?

We create household brands from scratch. We have the big ideas, create our own products, then market them in-house. We’ve now got 5 brands on the market, with many more to come. Find out more about us here.

Why are you doing this?

This is the best way to recruit our next star copywriter. If you win, we all win. It’s as simple as that. This is the only way to set everyone up for success.

How do I apply? 

Complete the form with your name and email address. Watch the video carefully, make notes - it’s important information. Then fill in the second form. Then wait for my email in the next day or two. If you have any questions at all, then will be the time to ask.

Can I do the 8-week training online?

No. This is a fully in-person opportunity in Oxford or in London. It’s the best way for you to learn from those directly around you. Look left, look right - you’ll have all the support you need right next to you.

Can I do this part-time?

No. We need your full attention on this one. This is an intensive 8-week course and will warrant your full focus. 

How long is the application process?

Completely down to you. But we suggest really taking your time in the writing task. This is your gateway to the following steps. We want to see your best, so take the time you need to craft your assignment in line with the brief.

If successful in the writing task, there will follow 2 interviews. The first being online (30 minutes). If successful, the second is in-person in Oxford or London (roughly 45 minutes)

Can I work freelance?

No. We work in highly competitive markets, which demand total immersion and focus. If you are successful in the 8-week program, you will be offered a permanent role on our payroll. 

When can I start?

Again, on you. We are flexible. You can start the training at your earliest convenience if successful in the application process. We want you to take your learnings from the training and put them into practice as soon as possible if offered a permanent position.

What happens if I don’t get the job?

It may be that this just isn’t the right fit for you, or it might be that after the 8 weeks with us, you still need more development before you’re ready to go into this industry full time.

But, come the end of training, one of two things will happen…

1. You’ll get a job offer at Malaberg. Obviously this is what we want to happen.

2. Your writing skills will be exponentially stronger after this program. This will give you a much better chance of landing a job elsewhere.
